Dream Day Music is the wedding music website for Preston-based business Craig Smith Music. Craig himself is one of the North West's busiest pianists, performing frequently for several years as a wedding pianist and at similar functions. He also performs regularly with various bands and singer-songwriters (he has recently supported both The Noisettes and Tinchy Stryder), yet is equally at home performing classical piano music.
Craig's wedding music services include solo wedding piano at wedding receptions and ceremonies, work with various wedding duos (with singers, saxophonists, a flautist and a violinist), and evening reception entertainment with wedding bands playing various styles of music.
Craig's solo wedding piano is available in a number of styles, including classical, jazz / swing, pop and soul. His 'contemporary classical' sets are proving particularly popular with guests at the moment, incorporating piano music like that from films like the Twighlight Saga by composers such as Yiruma and Einaudi, as well as his own compositions.
The wedding duos that Craig performs in are all made up of full-time professional musicians, who Craig calls upon based specifically on the unique requirements of each wedding. These are not your average weekend-performers, rather they have careers in live music and recording sessions, and have performed with orchestras and house-hold names worldwide, and on various blockbuster soundtracks (think Seal, Counting Crows, Shrek 2).
The bands that Craig works with include popular Merseyside folk-rock outfit Jessicas Ghost and several function / wedding bands. Craig offers a 25% discount on daytime piano music when one of the bands he plays with is booked for the evening at the same wedding.
Craig performs at weddings in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria and West Yorkshire, at some of the North West's most prestigious hotels, country houses and halls.
